On the establishment of the Kitab Geological National Nature Park in the form of a state institution for nature protection

In order to further strengthen the place and status in geological science of unique natural monuments formed over centuries and the internationally recognized Zinzilban section of the Devonian period, located on the territory of the State Institution "Kitab State Geological Reserve" of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources, as well as the further development of geotourism and the economic potential of the region:

1. To approve the proposal of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources, the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development to establish the Kitab Geological National Nature Park in the Kitab District of the Kashkadarya Region on the basis of the State Institution “Kitab State Geological Reserve” in the form of a state institution for nature conservation.

2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall, within two weeks, adopt a government decision on the establishment of the Kitab Geological National Nature Park in the form of a state institution for nature protection on the basis of the State Institution “Kitab State Geological Reserve” as part of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources.

4. Control over the implementation of this resolution shall be assigned to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.N. Aripov.
