On the establishment of the honorary title of the Republic of Uzbekistan “Uzbekistan Respublikasida hizmat kursatgan geologist”

Article 1. Establish the honorary title “Uzbekistan Respublikasida hizmat kursatgan geologist” (“Honored Geologist of the Republic of Uzbekistan”).

Article 2. To introduce into part one of Article 7 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 22, 1995 No. 176-I "On State Awards" (as amended by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 11, 2018 No. ZRU-473) (Bulletin of the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2018, No. 4, Article 221; 2019, No. 9, Article 589; 2020, No. 3, Article 200, No. 5, Articles 299, 300, No. 6, Article 334) the following addition and amendment:

add paragraph sixteen of the following content:

“Uzbekistan Respublikasida hizmat kursatgan geologist” (“Honored Geologist of the Republic of Uzbekistan”);

paragraphs sixteen through thirty-five shall be considered paragraphs seventeen through thirty-six, respectively.

Article 3. To introduce the following additions and amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 26, 1996 No. 226-I “On the establishment of honorary titles of the Republic of Uzbekistan” (Bulletin of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 1996, No. 5-6, Art. 64; 1997, No. 2, Art. 64; 1998, No. 5-6, Art. 114, No. 9, Art. 164; 2000, No. 5-6, Art. 153):

1) in Article 1 :

add paragraph sixteen of the following content:

“Uzbekistan Respublikasida hizmat kursatgan geologist” (“Honored Geologist of the Republic of Uzbekistan”);

paragraphs sixteen through thirty-five shall be considered paragraphs seventeen through thirty-six, respectively;

2) The regulation on honorary titles of the Republic of Uzbekistan after the text on the honorary title “Uzbekistan Respublikasida hizmat kursatgan artist” (“Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan”) should be supplemented with the following paragraph:

"Uzbekiston Respublikasida khizmat korsatgan geolog" ("Honored Geologist of the Republic of Uzbekistan") - to highly qualified geologists and engineering and technical workers in the field of geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, topographic and geodesy, as well as experienced specialists of research and educational institutions for their great services in the development of geology and exploration of mineral resources, expansion of geological exploration production, creation and strengthening of the mineral resource base, discovery and transfer of mineral deposits to industrial development, development and implementation of environmentally friendly advanced and innovative technologies in geological exploration and mining, training of personnel with deep knowledge for the industry";

3) Descriptions of the badges of honor for the titles of the Republic of Uzbekistan after the text of the description of the badge of honor for the title of "Uzbekiston Respublikasida khizmat korsatgan artist" ("Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan") shall be supplemented with the following text:

“Uzbekistan Respublikasida hizmat kursatgan geologist”
(“Honored Geologist of the Republic of Uzbekistan”)

The badge has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 30 millimeters and is made of 925 silver. The thickness of the badge is 2.2 millimeters.

On the front side, in the center of the sign, against the background of the rays of the rising sun, there is a valley, rivers and mountain peaks, symbolizing the unique nature and rich resources of our country, above which are two crossed hammers and a compass.

Along the lower right edge of the sign is a laurel branch, and at its top is the inscription "XIZMAT KO'RSATGAN GEOLOG".

The reverse side of the sign depicts the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The images and inscription are raised.

The edges of the front and back sides of the sign are bordered with a rim.

The chest badge is connected to the block by means of an eyelet and a ring, the inner part of which is covered with a moire ribbon in the colors of the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The height of the block is 16 millimeters, the width is 25 millimeters.

On the reverse side of the block there is a device in the form of a pin for attaching the badge to clothing."

Article 4. The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources, together with other interested organizations, shall ensure the implementation, dissemination to the performers and explanation of the essence and meaning of this Law.
